After M1 was a good soldier and helped Nas cover-up his ghostwriting scandal, I guess Nas felt like he owed the dead prez alum - really, a guest verse on "Genocide Highway" is the least he could have done.

I'm sorry, I was just fucking with you. I couldn't help myself, I know a few people were about to punch their laptop reading that intro. Anyway, however it happened, the point is we've now got some dope new hip-hop on our hands, thanks in large part to so nice production work from Beatnik & K-Salaam.

And apparently "Genocide Highway" is a reference to slave revolt leader Denmak Vesey - not gonna front, I had to look that one up. Learning a little something while nodding your heard to dope music? Looks like it really is bigger than hip-hop. Enjoy...
