Lupe Fiasco Gets His Dubstep On for Bassnectar’s “Va Va Voom” (Listen & Download)

To be honest, I'm really looking forward to the day when the "Lasers" debate is in the rear view and I won't have to bring it up every time Lupe Fiasco drops a new song. But even months later, every conversation I have about Lupe inevitably leads back to "Lasers", and what it meant for Fiasco, so....

For the record, I wasn't at all against Fiasco doing different music, I was against him doing bad music. Pop, rock, house, yodeling, do your thing Lupe, just make it sound dope and I'm on board. Case in point, techno/dubstep/EDM/whatever DJ Bassnectar and his new joint "Va Va Voom". This shit knocks, and I there aren't many emcees out there who could go over an instrumental like this better than Lupe.

I'm still not going to show up to Skrillex shows any time soon, but in the meantime, I'm more than happy to give "Va Va Voom" some run in my headphones. Enjoy:
