Hold on, let me check. Um....yeah, wow, I've got absolutely nothing bad to say about Lupe Fiasco's "Lamborghini Angels". For what feels like a couple years ago now most Lupe tracks have come burdened by radio's heavy touch, or forays into dubstep, or sampling fiascos, but...hold on, let me take another listen...yep, I just flat out dig "Lamborghini Angels".

In other hands that beat could have been one a club banger, but Lupe sounds like he's back on his fully lyrical shit - in other words, I really don't know what the hell he's talking about; yet. I'm gonna have to give this at least three or four more listens before I can unravel his meaning, and that was always the appeal of Lupe's music. The feeling that there are deeper meanings hidden in the music that you've got to work to find.

I've learned the hard way to keep my expectations for albums like "Food & Liquor II" to a minimum, but I've now got some real hope that this shit is going to be dope, or at the very least not be another "Lasers".

p.s. - This isn't the first time he's used the Lambo x angels concept. I wonder if that mixtape joint inspired him to fully flesh out the concept and turn it into an album track.
