What if I told you I had a new Ludacris track that included lines like "my chick come out swingin like Tiger Wood's wife." What if I also told you the track features Nicki Minaj, who drops the first Lisa Leslie boast in rap history, and is called "My Chick is Bad". Does that sound like something you'd be interested in? I bet it would. (My apologies to anyone who doesn't watch "Entourage" and totally missed that extended reference.)

"My Chick is Bad" is off Luda's "Atlanta Ambassador" mixtape, and I'd frankly be surprised if it also didn't find its way onto his upcoming "Battle of the Sexes" album, although I'm sure he and Nicki have about 47 tracks recorded by now, so this may just be the Luda x Nicki collabo they didn't mind letting leak.

UPDATE: I've listened to this a few times now and honestly it's one of the more disappointing Luda verses I've heard in a minute. He's much, much better than this.

At first I thought, "OK, maybe this could work" when I listened to the new version (though disappointed that you-know-who wasn't going to be on it-they had previously announced that as the first official single).

Then I Googled to see who produced this, and what do you know:

THE LEGENDARY TRAXSTER.

At this point, my disappointment turned into anger (because we coulda heard them BOTH over a Traxster beat). Living right above Chicago, I feel that's the biggest snub we got since finishing DEAD LAST in the voting for the 2016 Olympics. (Luda BETTER be glad I'm not Dr. Bruce Banner-"You call THAT disturbing peace? HULK SMASH PUNY RAPPER!")

(20 minutes later, after I calmed down)

OK...maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. But still, that was a HUGE deflation in my hopes for musical hearing. If Z ever gets to interview either of the two parties involved in the original, I hope he asks if any of them could release the original version of it as "Battle of the Sexes: Director's Cut". If not, I hope Shawnna at least releases her own BotS album and picks up another male artist to fill the void (my top choice would be Twista)
