As we discussed yesterday, sometimes you just happen to stumble across a new rapper and they just so happen to impress you. It's a mixture of fate and luck, and I lucked into this new "My Chain" joint from Logic. A young emcee from the DMV, Logic can obviously rap. Often rapid-fire rhymes are used to hide a lack of lyricism, but the kid can also get down with the pen.

Plus I have to give some bonus points to producer 6ix for sampling both Gucci Mane and Kanye's "Barry Bonds" on the same cut, it's not exactly a combination you see regularly. I have to say, I'm impressed.

I learned a long time ago not to get too high or too low on new rappers, 90% of the time that guy you thought was next to blow is gone in a year, but I'm officially on the look out for Logic. Who knows, I might just check out his "Young Sinatra" mixtape.
