God This Lil Wayne & Timbaland “My Reality” is Disappointing (Listen & Download)

I call them cocktease headlines. Sites and newspapers will throw up a headline like, "Nude Megan Fox Pics Leaked!". Of course you can't click fast enough, but once you actually start to read the article you realize that the pics were leaked, then Megan Fox sued to remove them, and said pics are nowhere to be found. Did that make any sense? Whatever, that's how I felt about this leaked Lil Wayne and Timbaland record, "My Reality".

Although I'm sure my real hardcore hip-hop heads have a long list of unreleased joints, to the best of my knowledge, Timbo and Weezy have never worked together. It was rumored Timbo would contribute a beat to "Tha Carter III', but it never materialized, and the same goes for "Shock Value 2". So when I saw "My Reality" pop up I was more than a little excited. If we got both Wayne and Timbo at their best we could be looking at a classic. Yeah, not even f**king close. This is terrible. Timbaland obviously made this beat drunk after suffering a severe concussion, and Weezy F.'s very much in crappy "Rebirth" mode. Oh, plus Mack Maine and Gudda Gudda rap, in auto-tune. Goddamnit.

Definitely simply a mixtape track back in his rebirth days. Probably a track that didnt make the Rebirth album, and if song wasnt good enough to make that album... that says a lot smh.

@Shamir Definitely. I have to imagine this bombed, Wayne knew he'd never officially use it, so he was like "fine Mack and Gudda, throw a verse on and you can have it."

If there's a god someday Timbo and Weezy will make a legit song together.

^One of my favorite Wayne mixtape songs. I hadn't thought this was Timbo, but the Youtube tag says it is, and it's similar to his other work.

I learned to be careful with tags. Especially in the r'n'b-scene, many of the leaked songs have faked tags. Besides, most of the producers have a certain style and usually follow the same pattern in their songs. In conclusion, you have to learn which features belong to which producers. The high-pitched choir during the chrous fits only to two producers: Timbaland & Danja. While the latter uses those better, he would never use such drums. To make it short: Prod by. Timbaland is probably right^^
