King Mez Makes Music for the “Champions” (Listen & Download)

I don't know what they're putting in the water in North Carolina, but everyone else needs to start drinking it. In addition to J. Cole, 9th Wonder's entire movement (Rapsody, Thee Tom Hardy, etc.) and an ever growing roster of others, N.C.'s also turned out RefinedHype favorite King Mez, who's taken his music to another level with his new single "Champions". With some production from Ski Beatz and the fantastically named Apple Juice Kid that sounds like it could play during a James Cameron movie, Mez absolutely goes in, deftly alternating between autobiographical introspection and outright braggadocio. And if I just lost you using so many SAT words, it's dope. You should listen to it.

"Champions" can be found on Mez' upcoming album, "The Re Runs", set to drop later this month via the mothership. If the rest of it sounds this dope, we've got a problem on our hands.
