Killer Mike & El-P Drop An Excessive Amount Of Jewels During Their Combat Jack Interview (Video) Posted by Danielle Harling on 05/08/13 | Filed under Videos, Killer Mike, El-P, Combat Jack

When it comes to rap radio, there will always be a debate over what artists should and shouldn't be played, how big an artist needs to be to break into mainstream radio, etc. A few months ago, Ebro, the program director at HOT 97 (a station known for playing the same damn songs over and over again), caused a minor controversy when he spoke on the station's unwillingness to play Hip-Hop artists who are still in the "minor leagues."

Well, during their appearance on Complex's The Combat Jack Show, Killer Mike and El-P gave their thoughts on HOT 97 and rap radio. And yes, the pair is about as eloquently passionate about the issue as expected. In fact, Killer Mike may want to keep some of his gems to himself because his radio station idea is kinda on the brilliant side.

You can find part one of Killer Mike and El-P's interview below. In it, Killer Mike provides a breakdown of "Untitled" and El-P speaks on the greatness of his musical partnership with Mike.
