Kardinal Offishall Unleashes a Lyrical Barrage on “Kill Shot” (Listen & Download)

I've already done the "Kardina Offishalll tried to sell out and it didn't work" thing, so this time around we can just get straight to the actual hip-hop with the drop of new track "Kill Shot". On the real, I was just talking about how tired I am of the click and shoot production style - personally that shit gets old by the first hook - but Nottz manages to pull it off better than almost anyone could.

It's almost a moot point though because I'm not putting this on repeat because of the beat. I've listened to this three times in a row now because of Offishall's deceptively complex lyricism - got I missed the man dropping some shit that truly made you think: “I understand T.I.’s predicament / n**gas don’t think when they need money for rent / and the jobs ain’t hiring.” It's a great point.

With two straight rap releases now under his belt, I'm officially stoked for the release of he and Nottz’ collaborative, heavily acronymistic A.M.T.R.I.M (Allow Me To Re-Introduce Myself), hopefully arriving sooner rather than later.

(Oh, and bonus points to anyone who can specifically track down where that Steve Carell sample is from. I'm guessing an "Office" episode, anyone know for sure.)
