Kardinal Offishall Drops Hip-Hop Retrospective “We Gon Go” (Video & Download)

It's been hard watching Kardinal Offishal these last couple years. Once one of my favorite underground rappers he's still working to figure out how to be in the mainstream spotlight and still make dope music. Luckily things are looking up for his new album "Mr. International", and the proof is the lead single "We Gon Go".



The Refined Take:

1) Unfortunately celebrities have been going down like co-eds on spring break so Kardinal has plenty of folks to memorialize here. R.I.P. to Michael Jackson, Redd Foxx, James Brown, Bernie Mac, Lauryn Hill's career and everyone else.

2) I'm all for keeping it real, but if I ever get rich there's no way I'm keeping a fridge full of Olde English 40s. That's the type of shit you drink when you're poor, or an alcoholic, or both. Apparently Kardiinal and I will just have to agree to disagree.

3) In case you're not up on Kardinal's more underground tendencies, I highly recommend his collabo with Marco Polo, "War", and "Graveyard Shift".

4) For the record, Kardinal's been reppin Toronto since way before it was cool, and in accordance with my sports loyalty requirements, it's great to see him rockin a Maple Leafs hat. Now there's a man I can respect.
