K. Sparks Brings Some Reality to the Pimp Game on “Clair” (Listen & Download)

"Pimpin" might just be the most overused and misunderstood word in hip-hop. It's taken on the connotation of coolness, or a man who women want to have sex with, but that's not pimping. That's paying women a lot of money/buying them purses and vacations so they'll have sex with you. That's the literal opposite of pimping.

Real pimping is the use of emotional and physical violence in sex trafficking, a definition that doesn't exactly make for party-ready club jams. Well, sorry to disappoint, but K. Sparks' latest isn't a party-ready club jam. In typical fashion, the prodigious NYC emcee uses new single "Clair" to bring some true perspective and reality to the pimp game. And it's a good thing to, because frankly there's too much of this and not enough of "Clair".

"Clair" is the first single from Sparks and Payozo's upcoming and currently untitled album, due out before "Detox". Enjoy:
