I Recommend You Drive Slow & Listen to K. Sparks’ “88 Chevy” (Listen & Download)

When K. Sparks sent me his new song he wrote the following: "'88 Chevy' is an introspective song that discusses struggles, and the inspiration that can be obtained from those struggles." Now that's not an inaccurate description, but here's how I would have worded that email: "Oh shit! Is that a sample of 'Drive Slow'!?! Or maybe they're just sampling the same record Kanye used for 'Drive Slow', I should go research that. Either way, this shit it dope as fuck."

After that admittedly not so intelligent initial reaction I realized that yes, like almost everything the ridiculously productive Sparks does, "88 Chevy" contains some much more serious messages embedded beneath the beat. And I appreciate that about the man's music, I really do. But....this shit is also dope!

For the record, that's also Eric Biddin and JAYVINE on the mic, and Hoodgrown Productions on the beat. Stream and download of "88 Chevy" is below the video for Kanye's "Drive Slow" because I pretty much guarantee you're going to want to play both tracks back to back. Enjoy...
