Jones Andrews Crushes Writer’s Block on “Tunnel Vision (All Black Everything)” (Listen & Download)

Damn, two freestyles in the past week? Either I'm getting soft or these rappers are getting better. Either way, despite my frequent vows to avoid posting the endless stream of "freestyles over the hot beat of the moment" that so frequently invade the hip-hop blogosphere, "3 Stax Back" was just too dope to ignore, and so is Jones Andrews' "Tunnel Vision (All Black Everything)".

We hadn't heard from NC respresenter Jones Andrews since his "Thirty Two Tuesdays" series came to a close on RefinedHype, but despite battling a self-professed case of writer's block he's come back strong over Lupe's "All Black Everything", one of the few tracks on "Lasers" that I truly respected. (Let's not start that debate again.) Plus bonus points for being one of the few rappers to understand the difference between net and gross. Now that's a man on his hustle.

Thinking it over more, there are two categories of "freestyles" like this. One; let me throw some quick rhymes over this popular beat and get some blogs to post it. Two; I'm a dope rapper who can't afford dope production, so I'm going to lift this beat to make an essentially original song. If you're doing the first, miss me. If you're doing the second, I'll at least take a listen. (Damn, maybe I am getting soft.)

Both version are below for compare and contrast purposes.
