Jay Rock Tells “Tales from the Hood 2” (Mixtape Listen & Download)

For those who don't follow RefinedHype on Twitter, after approximately eleventy billion rappers decided to drop projects today I've officially declared today mixtape Tuesday (see Shawn Chrystopher, Jim Jones, Asher Roth and St. Joe Louis...so far). Next up in our completely unplanned March Mixtape Madness series is west coaster Jay Rock and his new project "Tales From the Hood 2". If you've been looking for street rap that still has a pulse, and a brain, Jay Rock's the man for you. If I had a 64 Caddy I'd be rolling through the streets of Los Angeles with this banging in my speakers right now.

And in case you're justifiably worried, the DJ Whoo Kid screaming is kept to a minimum. Features from Tyrese, Freeway, Balance, Kendrick Lamar and more. Oh, and I'm not trying to start L.A. beef, but right now, at this very moment, Jay Rock's a better emcee than Game.
