Jim Jones Sees “The Ghost of Rich Porter” (Mixtape Listen & Download)

Recently I've been writing about how Jim Jones has improbably turned from an aggravating rapper to an "actually, he may be pretty good" rapper over the last couple of years, and sure enough his new mixtape "The Ghost of Rich Porter" is at the very least worth a listen. During his "Ballin!" days I would have never dreamed of writing this, but I just pounded through the project and I actually enjoyed myself. I'm not saying it's the next "Illmatic", but still...

The mixtape features verses from Gucci Mane, Juelz Santana, Shawty Lo, Maino, Joell Ortiz and more, along with all original production, including one new beat from The Alchemist. The real test of Jones' improvement will come when his new album drops this summer - or so he says. We all know these release dates are less dependable than Tiger Woods.
