J. Cole Takes Us “Higher” (Listen & Download)

With his single "Who Dat" blowing up like, um, something that blows up that won't offend people, hip-hop nation, as well as RocNation, are clamoring for more J. Cole. Your wish is my command. (Unless you're wishing for more Ke$ha, than you're on your own.) Enough of my rambling. Cole's latest offering "Higher" is built around a relatively minimalistic, piano riff-based beat that essentially just serves as an excuse for Cole to go off on a storytelling, narrative tip as he talks women, women and more women:

On a side note, didn't Kanye already drop a line that's basically the same as Cole's "Girl you're so special it's like I met you in the slow class." It's on the top of my brain. Little help anyone?

"Higher" will reportedly be included in an upcoming Tapemasters mixtape, which will drop sometime between now and the end of the world. I'll be sure to update as soon as information becomes less incredibly vague.
