B.o.B.'s "
Adventures of Bobby Ray" album dropped sharply this week to the number 12 slot. That should in no way diminish Bobby Ray's accomplishments, a number one album is absolutely incredible, no matter how long you hang on. And now for the good news:
Eminem's "
Not Afraid" debuted as the number one single in the country, becoming only the 16th song to do so in history! Yeah, that's pretty f**king impressive, especially for a song about recovering from addiction. Eminem's unstoppable right now.

Diddy's Keyshia Cole's "Last Night", I move that we change the credits for "OMG" to will.i.am. featuring Usher. Is there any doubt that Usher owes will big time for finally getting his "
Raymond vs. Raymond" album a huge hit? As Jay Smooth pointed out the other day, will's the musical version of the cleaner in "Pulp Fiction". When shit's going wrong give him a call and he'll fix everything.
2) And Drake chart watch 2010 continues. After "Over" did good-not-great numbers, Drizzy's latest official single "
Find Your Love" is starting to slowly climb it's way up the charts, debuting at number 28. Almost anyone else would be estatic is their first two singles did this well, but for Mr. "future of music' it has to be at least a little bit of a disappointment. Still, it's far too early to draw any conclusions. It wouldn't be shocking if we were looking at "Find Your Love" in the top ten next week.
3) I honestly haven't heard much about it, but look out for Mike Posner's new single "
Cooler Than Me". It's absolutely skyrocketing up the charts, leaping about 40 slots from last week to land at number 50 this week. That's pretty impressive for a track without a lot of radio push.
4) With Nicki Minaj's debut single "
Massive Attack" continuing to free fall down the charts (it's currently sitting at the 140 slot), will "
Your Love" rescue her already floundering debut album? I seriously doubt it, but a lot of folks whose opinions I respect insist otherwise. We'll have to wait until next week to find out for sure.
5) This week's Mr. Irrelevant Award, given to the song that sits at the absolute bottom of the charts (the number 200 spot), goes to..Cupid's "Cupid Shuffle". Yeah, that's right,
this guy. I have to say, I'm impressed. For such an obvious gimmick track to stay on the charts this long doesn't happen everyday.
