Gilbere Forte & Ab-Liva “Push the Bar” (Listen & Download)

You want an artist with some real versatility? You want Gilbere Forte. Just a few months removed from dropping a dope track with uber-hipster band Freelance Whales, the hypnotic "1st Floor", the young Philly emcee has linked up with unrepentant white pusher Ab-Liva (of the Re-Up Gang) for his new joint, the pounding, Raak & Forte produced, "Push the Bar". On the real, the fact that the same dude did "1st Floor" and "Push the Bar", and they both sound dope, is ill.

"Push the Bar" is the latest release off the Gilbere Forte' x SocietySOP Fall/Winter 2010 LookBook collaboration. And for those who ironically slept on it the first time around, may I reccomend Forte's last project, "87 Dreams"?

Oh, and "Make my sandwich!" is my new favorite phrase. We'll see how long it lasts before the wife starts making me sleep on the couch.
