Ghostface Killah x Sheek Louch x Billy Ray Valentine: “Trading Places” (Listen & Download)

Weekend Edition: The best of the past week on RefinedHype, running from Saturday to Monday morning.

Today on RefinedHype Goes to the Movies, a snobbish investor (Ghostface Killah) and a wily street con artist (Sheek Louch) find their positions reversed as part of a bet by two callous millionaires. Or, alternately, Ghost and Sheek take turns rocking over each other's instrumentals.

On the real though, "Trading Places" is a pretty simple concept that sounds dope - I'm surprised more rappers don't do it. Imagine an entire mixtape/album of artists switching beats - and I'm not talking mash-ups, I'm talking brand new lyrics over the original beats J. Cole and Childish Gambino could team up for a "Cole Camp" mixtape. Kendrick Lamar and Big K.R.I.T. on "Return of Section 80".

The possibilities are endless - what would your dream trading placed album be?

Oh, and enjoy this shit too. The Ghost x D Block collaborative album "Wu Block" is due to drop sometime before "Detox". Word to Billy Ray Valentine.
