Gucci Mane Lives Inside the Tyson Zone


For those who aren't familiar, someone enters the "Tyson Zone" when any story about them, no matter how insane it sounds, turns out to be true (see also: ODB, Charlie Sheen, etc.). Well, if Gucci Mane passing out while filming a sex scene for "Sprink Breakers" doesn't quality for Tyson Zone material, nothing does. From the Vulture story:

According to "Spring Breakers" director Harmony Korine, "So we’re inside this house in St. Petersburg, and the fucking weed smoke was so insane and Gucci was basically catatonic. I was like, 'Gucci, you’ve got to have sex with this chick now!""

"He wanted her to ride him so he wouldn’t have to do any physical labor. So we’re shooting the sequence, and as he is getting fucked, I start to hear snores. He had literally passed out! And she was riding his dick the whole time...At the end, he woke up and was like, 'I feel real nice. I feel like Mozart’s on my dick.' And that was it, and he went back to sleep."

So, you know, yeah, that actually happened. God bless the one and only Guwop. (Another one that could have easily been a "Fail", but come on, the "Mozart on my dick" line just cements the awesomeness.)

Kendrick Hears Jay's Verse for the First Time


Between the actual remix, the NBA comparisons and the podcast, I know we might all be a little burnt out on the Kendrick x Jay-Z story line, so let's just close with this - footage of Kendrick hearing Hova on his song for the first time. That's got to be a fucking mind blowing moment.

The best moment is actually Ab-Soul's muttering: "Dawg, they really let us in the rap game." I think that says it all.

Hip-Hop Doing Good


Now this is everything hip-hop is supposed to be. UNC runs a program called the Beat Making Lab that sets up recording equipment in under-developed areas, and they recently traveled to the Congo. Nothing but real music and some b-boy battling, this truly is a global culture. Salute those folks.

And as long as we're in "shit that just generally makes you feel good about being a human being/is it just me or is it getting a little dusty in here?" territory, I'd like to direct your attention to this video of a stranger saving a little girl's life, and this deaf woman hearing for the first time. Hugs and cupcakes for everyone!

Hot Wings vs. Action Bronson, Hot Wings Win


I was considering including this as a "Fail" considering Action got completely worked by Andrew WK in a hot wing eating contest, but ultimately watching Bronson tie up his beard with a scrunchie and then cry hot wing tears was just too fucking awesome.
