Popular rappers can be grouped into three broad categories: rappers I dig (Ludacris), rappers I don't personally dig but I respect and understand why others dig (Kid Cudi), and rappers I don't dig and I can't fucking figure out for the life of me why they're popular (French Montana). At the very least I can understand the lowest common denominator appeal of your Gucci Manes, but Montana's like a poor man's Gucci. His flows aren't so bad they're good, they're just bad. And who the fuck names their mixtape "Mac & Cheese 2"? I'll tell you who, French Montana.

We could leave it at that, but mind-bogglingly (yes, that's actually a word) the dude has a legion of supporters, including some whose opinion I actually respect. Not only that, but legitimately dope rappers seem to be lining up to work with the man, as evidenced by the Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Jadakiss etc. guest features.

Seriously, can anyone explain to me why this dude isn't atrocious? Anyone? Anyone?

Almost Forgotten	Why doesn't it suck? Trick question. It does suck. My only hope is that maybe his mixtapes are really low quality crap ala 50 Cent. Whoever designed his cover art need to have his Photoshop license revoked. Like all a nigga did was mash up all sorts of pictures that looked "g" and/or "cheesy" lol. Calm down kid...
