According to Tibetan belief, when the current Dalai Lama dies his spirit will enter the body of a child. On the real, short of reincarnation, I'm not sure how else to explain the existence of Joey Bada$$. The Brooklynite is only 17-years-old and he's somehow perfectly channeling the spirit of gritty, '90s NYC hip-hop.

So yes, I'm definitely going to be giving his new "1999" album a listen. Does he have enough in him to sustain an entire album? We're about to find out. I'm pressing play myself right now, feel free to help me break this shit down in the comments below.
