DQM Releases Skater-Friendly Fall/Winter Lookbook

Dave’s Quality Meats, which is affectionately known by its acronym DQM, gave hipsters across the nation a reason to celebrate late last month when they released their fall/winter 2010 lookbook. The lookbook is pretty skater heavy and features various skaters clad in DQM gear wandering around New York City.
Let’s start off with the good. DQM’s new line is refreshingly simple, meaning all of their pieces are relatively simple but they still look good. There aren’t any crazy patterns, neon colors, eye-catching graphics, or t-shirts that feature Lil Wayne (or whoever the rapper of the day happens to be) lyrics on them. If only their prices matched up with the simplicity of their clothing, but that’s a whole ‘nother story.
Now for the bad…If I see another lookbook with a bunch of skaters roaming around New York City, San Francisco, Austin, or any other major metropolis I think I may go mad. I mean where’s the creativity people? It’s come to the point where all the urban lookbooks are starting to look the same. But at the end of the day it isn’t the lookbook that sells it’s the clothing and DQM has proven to put out quality products.
