As soon the mothership premiered this new "So Cold" joint I immediately had two thoughts. 1) Oh yeah, Diz Gibran, I haven't heard from that dude in like two years. I wonder where he's been. 2) Oh yeah, Diz Gibran. You know, that dude's actually pretty dope.

So while I won't call it a comeback, he's been here for years, I will say it's good to hear new music from the L.A. emcee, especially when he's paired with a producer like Moonshine. See producers, sometimes less is more when it comes to making dope beats. Find that perfect sample, get your drums just right, loop and leave well enough alone. Not every beat has to be "All of the Lights".

Long story short, however it happens and whoever it comes from, I'll take more dope hip-hop like "So Cold" in the world. This one can be found on Truth Studio's "Hall of Fame Vol. II" compilation album, due to drop tomorrow, Thursday, August 16, and also featuring that equally dope Rocki Evans track.
