Being the smart ass that I am, when I first heard that Duck Down representer David Dallas had a new song out called "Feel Like Oasis" I immediately wondered, "what does it feel like to feel like Oasis?" My smart ass answer? It probably feels like drinking an entire bottle of whiskey, fucking a groupie and then punching your brother in the face. Actually.....it turns out that's exactly what David Dallas is talking about.
Well, not exactly, but it's pretty damn close. Until Dallas broke it down I never really realized it before, but Oasis were everything a rapper wants to be. Constantly in the headlines, equal parts hated and loved, completely unafraid to speak their mind, convinced they're the best - who knew the brothers Gallagher were so hip-hop? Oh yeah, plus that ridiculous beat and additional verses from The Kid Daytona and Tayyib Ali and you've got a pretty damn good song.
Off Dallas' deluxe version of his "The Rose Tint" album, due to drop November 8. (Peep the MGK rage reference in the third verse.)
Song under a little video reminder of what it feels like to feel like Oasis.
