Unfortunately, CyHi The Prynce Isn’t All That “Slick” On His Newest Song (Listen & Download) Posted by Danielle Harling on 06/27/12 | Filed under Downloads, CyHi Da Prynce

I like CyHi The Prynce I really do, but it's quite clear that he's suffering from "Label Step-Child Syndrome." What's "Label Step-Child Syndrome" you ask? Well, it's not much of a syndrome really. It just happens when your label seemingly forgets that you're signed to them. It's kinda like you're the Cinderella of the label except a lot of times there is no Cinderella ending. CyHi's signed to G.O.O.D. Music yet he hasn't been on a track with his fellow G.O.O.D. Music artists in a minute. And if it wasn't for the G.O.O.D. Music logo on the cover art for his latest single, "Slick," I'm sure there would be some serious questions.

But on to CyHi's latest release, "Slick." I'm not so sure about this one, it just doesn't sound very CyHi to me. But it does sound a lot like your typical Southern rapper tune. And I understand that the song's called "Slick" but that shouldn't automatically mean that you should say the word "slick" at least 102 times. "Open Letter 2" was pretty dope, "A-Town" was a crazy city anthem but this one leaves a lot to be desired.
