The Cool Kids Need to “Bundle Up” (Listen & Download)

If I've learned anything in my time in the game it's not to think anyone's "made it" until they've actually made it. For every one artist that truly become established, there are a hundred who were this close, mortal locks to blow, whom we're now writing "whatever happened to" articles about. (Until he finally dropped his album Saigon was the perfect example.) As crazy at it may seem, it's been three years since I first wrote about The Cool Kids, who at the time were the next big thing, and we're still waiting for a debut album.

Well, it looks like it might just finally happen. After years of legal wrangling with their label, Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks are finally gearing up to drop their long-awaited "When Fish Ride Bicycles" and their first official offering is the crunching "Bundle Up". Featuring another trademark retro, stripped-down beat from Inglish, this is definitely one of those love it or hate it tracks. But I guarantee those loving it will be cranking the volume way up.

"When Fish Ride Bicycles" is set to drop this spring....we'll see. (Update; Just learned the album will drop off Green Label Sound, aka Mountain Dew's label. That's both simultaneously really dope and kind of depressing, if you know what I mean.)
