Perhaps feeling energized by his recent fight with Fox News, hardcore gangster rapper knit sweater loving rapper Common has come out of nowhere with a new EP, "The Pursuit". Created as part of the Cocaine '80s collective, which also includes No I.D., Kevin Randolph, Betty White, James Fauntelroy, J-Kwon, Steve Wyremanm Rob Kinelski and U.S. Dept of Transpiration secretary Ray La Hood, new single "Summer Madness" is really dope. (Note: Not all members of Cocaine 80s listed above actually members.)

I know Common gets a bad rap sometimes, especially now that he's more interested in his SAG card than the mic, but we could pick apart almost any emcee's career. The simple truth is that Common is one of the best lyricists to ever put pen to page and a man any real hip-hop head has to respect. With No I.D. manning the boards I'm now devoting the next hour to listening to "The Pursuit". I'd recommend you do the same.
