Common & Nas Can’t Escape Their “Ghetto Dreams” (Listen & Download)

Leave it to rappers Common and Nas to drop a gem on us during the holiday weekend when we least expect it. Smooth move fella's. It's hard not to expect greatness from Hip-Hop veterans like Common and Nas and that's exactly what they brought on "Ghetto Dreams." The song, which will be included on Common's upcoming album "The Dreamer, The Believer," features the Chicago rapper giving commentary on "the type of bitch that Big said he would die for." Nas provides a simple yet catchy hook and concludes the song with a verse of his own. No I.D. was on point with the production on "Ghetto Dreams," but there are some parts of the song that sound vaguely similar to Jay-Z's "Heart Of The City (Ain't No Love)."

As far as I know "Ghetto Dreams" is the first taste of what we can expect to hear on Common's new album and I think it's safe to say that the rapper won't be taking the "Universal Mind Control" route on this one. That album wasn't horrible, but I think "The Dreamer, The Believer" will be much more authentically Hip-Hop.
