If you don't feel the urge to get out of your seat and start one of those slow dramatic claps they do in the movies after hearing Common's "Blue Sky" then you're clearly a cyborg from the planet Minitar because this song is pure dopeness. I don't even know where to start because the production and lyrical content is equally amazing.
How No I.D. was able to sample Electric Light Orchestra's "Mr. Blue Sky" in a Hip-Hop song and make it sound this good is pure genius. He gets props on props on props for this one. Common proved that he's still got it on "Ghetto Dreams" and on "Blue Sky" he proves that lyrically he really is one of the best. "Blue Sky" will be featured on Common's "The Dreamer, The Believer" album when it's released on November 22.
Nathan Update: This is clearly the work of a hardcore gangster rapper. Also, threw in a lyric video. Official video on the way in the next few weeks. Download below the video.
Nathan Update 2: Support quality hip-hop and go cop the single on iTunes.
