Bruno Mars Brings on Lupe Fiasco for “Just the Way You Are (Remix)” (Listen & Download)

Lupe Fiasco missed out on a number one hit when he passed on the Bruno Mars written smash hit "Nothin' On You", which of course became B.o.B.'s breakthrough single, so Lupe was clearly not going to let a good thing pass twice. Just a week after Bruno Mars' solo single "Just the Way You Are" hit number one on the charts, Mars drops the official remix featuring Lupe.

On the production side the ballad beat is essentially unchanged, though it is given a slightly harder feel with some crunching, louder drums, and Bruno doesn't change up his syrupy sweet vocals one bit. As for Fiasco, I don't know, it's ok. And it's not ever really a guest verse - more like two snippets. Really Lupe? You couldn't have been bothered to write a full verse for the number one song in the country? Really? In his defense, he was probably too busy writing cease and desist letters to random blogs to put much time into it.

And as long as we're here, I should mention that Bruno Mars got arrested in Vegas last night for possession of an as-yet unnamed narcotic. Let's hope he's not going down the Cudi path with that white stuff. Which reminds me, how great would it have been if instead of Lupe the remix featured just a crazy dirty verse from Rick Ross about anal sex and cocaine? And by "great" I mean horrible for Mars' career, but it'd make me laugh.
