Beyonce Drops New Biggest Single Ever “Girls (Who Run the World)” (Listen & Download) Posted by Nathan S. on 04/20/11 | Filed under Top Stories, Downloads, Beyonce

I know RefinedHype is essentially a rappity rap mcrapsalot blog - you know, the kind of site that spends hours tracking down old Kweli records - but I'm not going to front, Beyonce's my shit. Of course she looks incredible, she's married to a hip-hip legend (whom she makes more money than, by the way), she's legitimately talented and behind the make up she's a stone cold hustler. In other words, I'm not apologizing for posting her new single "Girls (Who Run the World)". In a month you won't be able to avoid it if you move to Libya - you might as well get used to it now.

Actually, I'll go even further and not apologize for thinking this is pretty damn dope. Produced by Diplo and Switch, the beat's walnuts (see below) and the Queen brings back her "Diva" style and gets into some kind of rapping, kind of singing. Listen, she could easily turn out sugary sweet pop all day and collect endorsement checks from Maybelline, but she's actually pushing boundaries a bit, and for that I salute Beyonce.

On a closing note, as the homey Chris Reg pointed out on Twitter, this includes a sample of Major Lazer's "Pon De Floor", which is getting passed around more than Yung Berg's chain (see also, Diddy Money's "Ass on the Floor").
