Bad Meets Evil Meets Bruno Mars Meets Radio: “Lighters” (Listen & Download)

Bad meets evil meets fluffy bunny. Bad meets evil meets ice tea on a hot summer day. I'm trying to find the right way to describe Eminem and Royce da 5'9's new single "Lighters", which finds the always hardcore rhymers bringing on heartthrob and pop king Bruno Mars for radio anthem "Lighters". Wait, did I say always hardcore?

Essentially the exact opposite of "I'm on Everything", 'Lighters" takes yet another catchy piano riff and hook from Bruno and layers on some bitter, "I Need a Doctor"esque verses from Em and Nickel. I don't want to be predictable and hate on this, but it just doesn't work for me. Em can obviously do a radio smash but he just doesn't' find his groove here - in fact I thought Royce's efforts were far better. But maybe I'm just being overly biased, let's see what RefinedHype Nation has to say.
