At Last, It’s The Partial Return Of Aloe Blacc On “One Inna” (Listen) Posted by Danielle Harling on 05/23/13 | Filed under Madlib, Aloe Blacc

California-born crooner Aloe Blacc has been off the musical map for quite sometime now, but with the release of an online compilation titled "The Beat Box" we're treated to Aloe's "One Inna" and it's almost as if he didn't bounce on us in the first place. Okay, not really. Produced by Madlib, "One Inna" is classic Aloe Blacc. It's heavily soulful, it lacks any of the filler present in most of today's R&B, and it's just a great record overall.

Unfortunately, "One Inna" is merely a reissue from an older project, so at this time any possibility of new music from the singer looks somewhat bleak. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be awhile before Aloe's silky vocals and Madlib's stellar production on "One Inna" become tiring.

Also, can anyone point out the sample used on "One Inna?" I want to say it's Larry Graham's "One In A Million You," but I'm pretty sure I'd be wrong.

Nathan Update: Yo, where's Aloe Blacc?!?! (He's the guy who did "I Need a Dollar" for those who need their memory jogged.)
