Yo, Bang the F**k Out of This Ab-Soul & Schoolboy Q “Hell Yeah” (Listen & Download)

Here's the bad news. I don't have another track to add to my "Ignorant Banger" list (which "9 Piece" is currently leading, by the way). Now here's the good news. Cali natives Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q have something even better to offer up; an intelligent banger in the form of "Hell Yeah". You need to play the f**k out of this one.

Any real banger begins with the beat and while Sounwave may not be the next Lex Luger, the man crafts a beat so hard it'll make you Christopher Reeves yourself (break you neck). And while I could do without the "yeah..." ad libs, they remind me too much of Gucci, both Soul and Q absolutely crush this one. It has to be said though that while on the surface this may sound ignorant there's actually a real intelligence lurking underneath the aggression: "Hell yeah I know they're trying to rewrite the Constitution / I'm still rollin blunts, drunk as fuck, stuck on stupid." Come on, who else rhymes "cessarian" with "librarian"?

Ab-Soul's "Longterm Mentality" is on the way. In the meantime, I highly recommend picking up Soul's "Long Term 2" and Q's "Setbacks".
