Andre 3000, Cee-Lo, can you come here for a moment? I'd like to have a word with you. Guys, listen. I know you're extraordinarily talented and creative musicians who feel confined by the boundaries of hip-hop. I totally understand that, and by all means, please feel free to experiment. But gentlemen, you are some of the best rappers alive; would it kill you to lay down a few verses every now and again? Did Picasso get bored, stop painting and start writing novels? Did Jordan get bored, stop playing basketball and join a minor league baseball team? (Ok, bad example.)
Cee-Lo, at least you're putting out new music, but Andre, sweet baby jesus. Other than a handful of guest verses - all of which we dope by the way - we haven't heard a solo track from you that could even remotely be considered hip-hop since "Love Below", and that was in 2003!!! And now I hear there's a new 3 Stacks track out, and it turns out to be a good but schizophrenic cover of The Beatle's "All Together Now"? What do we have to do to get you to make hip-hop again?
It's not helping that the first time we got a taste of this track was for Nike's latest Kobe suck off...I mean commercial. Yes, I'm still bitter and about the Lakers win, and will be until the day I die. Download link is below the video.
