Manicanparty – Rebels In The Light

Always cool to get something refreshingly unique in your inbox. Today’s surprise comes in the form of Manicanparty, a Brooklyn-based duo comprised of Jess Corazza & Pat Morrissey. According to OnCue’s reps, they helped out on the dude’s mixtape Can’t Wait back in 2011. “Rebels In The Light” is the first song they’ve released to the masses, and I’m already fully on board. There are so many different musical influences coming across in a track like this — it’s tough to narrow them down into one genre. It’s got this deep, tribal, majestic sense to it that immediately makes it perfect for an upcoming coming-of-age movie soundtrack.

They have my full support — can’t wait to see what comes from them down the line.
