Meet Greg Williams, World's Least Motivating Motivational Speaker

The football world was shocked this week (or pretended to be shocked) when audio of suspended former Saints defensive coordinator Greg Williams was released, audio that showed him explicitly telling defenders to aim at opposing players’ heads and already injured knees.

Personally, I wasn’t at all surprised by this audio. Anyone who’s played football has heard some version of this message for years. What I am surprised by is how fucking boring Greg Williams speeches are. Jesus, how do you get to be an elite coach when you’re “let’s get hyped!!!” speeches are this bad?

After hearing this I wasn’t ready to go kill an opposing player, I was ready to drink some chamomile tea, wrap myself up in a Snuggie and take a nap.
