Positive K - I Got A Man (1992)
The “woman"s voice in this is actually Positive K with his voice pitched high through the wonders of technology. Did I just ruin every fond memory you had of this song? Good, welcome to my world. Finding that shit out was worse than finding out Santa Claus wasn’t real.
As long as we’re here, Wikipedia’s synopsis of this song is fucking amazing: “The song is about a man’s desire to make love with a woman he meets on the street. She even offers to alternatively pursue a platonic friendship with the man, but he declines.” Yep, that pretty much sums it up.
Peaked at #14 on the Billboard 100.
