Although Southern rapper YelaWolf has garnered much attention with the release of his recent mixtape Trunk Muzik and a number of stellar tracks with artists like Raekwon and Bun B, fans have rarely had a chance to get to know him outside of his music. Aside from music, YelaWolf is an artistic, skate-boarding, Southern boy with a bit of a knack for street fashion. A knack he recently shared with RefinedHype.com YelaWolf gave us an in-depth look at some of the brand’s he’s rocking as well the particular items he’s feeling from each line.
The Hundreds- This company seems to really get street core sk8 shit. They simplify shit correctly. There’s a fine line between minimalistic style and branding your shit.
The Hundreds Dodge Jacket, $129.00
1. I like the parody starter jackets they dropped. Anything reminiscent of early 90's hood shit is dope to me. It reminds me of Nashville - just plain “THE HUNDREDS” across the front, and because they haven't reached the deep south yet, it’s super exclusive.
2. They make ill jeans also. I actually rocked a pair for a week straight. Great for the grind, they stay fresh, and although I'm not a big fan of stitch design on the back of pockets, they pulled it off.
3. The two-tone hoodie is fresh also. I wore it in the “Mixin’ Up The Medicine” video. It’s thick enough, but not too thick for the winter. The Hundreds logo die cast zipper thingy is a nice touch.
4. They dropped a two-tone sweatshirt with a hoodie pocket inside - that was really fresh. I rocked the white one with the black sleeves . A dope surprise was the slightly darker black bamboo print on the sleeves. Yeeahh…The Hundreds are the truth!
Orisue - Orisue makes you feel like money period… at least to a Dirt like me. Super high quality and crisp.
Orisue Down 4 Life Tee, $24
1. The wrinkled black leather jacket has a ''nautica'' feeling baby blue on white pin stripe in-lay. The jacket’s not too heavy, but it doesn't take away from the feeling you get when you're in it. It’s not an everyday day jacket unless you wear it without a shirt for a month and free balled in some skinny's with bad hair... otherwise, fit it with some fly shit and get laid.
2. The jeans are cut really creatively. A little slim for a D Boy from Bama, but I'm not a D boy. I could get used to them, but I couldn't go any more slim. It’s too on the verge of yesterdays hipster. Offset em’ with a pair of some solid kelly green Fila’s and a mossy oak Nascar Tall T and you're money.
3. The T-shirts are laced with dope art. One in particular that I fucked with was a black and white war scene set square on the "T"… like an old national geographic collage or some shit The Orisue brand is tastefully placed on the sneak - bottom edge of the shirt, plus the cut is proper. None of that fat and wide, or slim and short shit.
4. The flannel plaid button ups are done perfect for the winter. Again…you can’t ignore the quality material they use. I've honestly never worn shit this expensive feelin’.
IN4MATION - This company hails from Hawaii, but you'd never know it judging by their taste in winter gear. My first impression last year was that they way over branded their shit. My homie James Frankhouse who sk8’s for them looked like an IN4MATION Nascar mechanic... maybe it was just his gloves, but I liked it anyway cause he was doin’ switch heels over cars in In4mation gloves! I recently got my hands on some of their latest shit, and I was super impressed.
The Mawson Beanie - $15
1. The "Jeans" are dope, they rock right with a sag and that's a fuckin’ must for me. The color is solid and they're starched up for a long wear. I wear my jeans a long time before I wash em’.
2. The "Skully" fits perfect. The logo is hard and it doesn't take away from the hat like most logos on skully’s do. I'm always good to rock a black skully, but I'm picky about em’ like everything else I guess. Dope hat though, I rocked it at the Ludacris - Shawty Lo video in Bankhead.
3. The "Flannel Jacket" is my favorite piece of theirs this season. I got the solid grey one, it’s super well made and hits the look on the head. It’s borderline Beetles Jacket because of the peacoat material they used, but not with a gold chain and birdie finger medallion.
Young And Reckless - Now some of you are sayin’ ‘what the fuck… why?’ Well because I fuck with DramaBeats it’s that simple. Rob Dyrdek co-signs his lil’ cuzin with this start up t-shirt hoodie hat company and why the fuck not. The Fantasy Factory is changing the way the average person who would otherwise know nothing of sk8boarding thinks and educating them on the culture and the endless ways to make loads of fuckin’ money when you're an ambitious pro skater with a hit reality TV show! Drama's out to hit his lick and get it in while that massive door of free advertisement is wide open. Sometimes you rock and support a brand because of the association it has, for me that's what it is. When Drama gets some serious designers behind him, then you'll see more of it in my closet.

1. The " Hoodies" and " T Shirts " is all I can rock for now, and only if the colors are toned down. Young and Reckless… smatterwitcheee?
