On December 22, Method Man, Raekwon and Ghostface will be releasing a joint album that has all the makings of a classic. To promote this highly anticipated release, the Wu-Tang trio proudly present “The Wu-Massacre Part 1”, the first of three trailers inspired by the classic David Fincher flick “Se7en”. I’m not sure what it all means, but it’s gotten me crazy stoked for the album. Check it out.
The Refined Take:
1) I’m not sure exactly why, but this video has me even more excited for the album. From the looks of things it’s going to be dark as hell.
2) If I had to use one word to sum up this trailer, that one word would be Tical! (I have no idea what that means, but it always sounds good with Meth says it.)
3) You know who doesn’t get enough credit in this video? The CSI dude who says, “From the looks of this guy, he did it recently.” I guarantee you he’s some struggling actor who practiced saying that line 147 times in his studio apartment until his roommate wanted to kill him. And all the hard work paid off, he nailed it.
4) Details of the album are still sketchy, but if they’re making videos for it I have to assume the project’s on schedule and a go. I’ll let you know more details as I get them.
