For the past few weeks RefinedHype.com has given you a heads up on what you should rock at a number of Hip Hop related events including the hip hop
open mic and those annual
music festivals. Now it’s time to let loose and crack open that bottle of Hennessy as we take a trip to the club…
Type Of Venue: Hip Hop Club
What NOT To Wear: Whatever the club tells you not to wear. Normally, this is the one venue where it’s okay to wear whatever you want, but thanks to enforced dress codes this really isn’t the case anymore. So fella’s steer clear of t-shirts and hats promoting your favorite sports team and keep those Timb’s you bought five years ago in the closet.
What To Wear: Something that stands out. At the club it’s far from rare to see someone rocking the same kicks as you or even the same dress. It’s the ultimate mood killer seeing someone rocking almost the same exact ‘fit as you. That’s why standout pieces are a must when it comes to club-wear. And the great thing about finding rare pieces of jewelry and clothing is that you can find them at vintage shops and markets in most cities for a decent price.
Where To Wear It: From the East Coast to the West, finding a Hip Hop club to rock your look shouldn’t be much of a problem unless you happen to live in Middle Of Nowhere, Kansas. A simple Google search will lead you to plethora of locales.
