Ironically, This New Wale & Big Sean Record “Slight Work” Needs Just That (Listen & Download)

"Slight Work" isn't a bad song, but it really could use some work here and there. And unfortunately, Wale's to blame. There wasn't that spectacular moment when you thought to yourself "now that's a hot verse." And on top of that I wasn't a big fan of the hook especially the "work work work work work [insert 10 more "work" mentions here] part. It was overly repetitive and a bit on the annoying side.

Now this is the part where you probably thought I was going to bash the Diplo produced beat, but oddly enough I kind of enjoyed it. I'm sure the production will probably be the most hated part of the song and it does take awhile to grown on you, but I'm not mad at it. In fact, the production and Big Sean's verse are the highlights of the song for me. But "Slight Work" did somewhat kill the little bit of excitement I had for "Ambition" after hearing "Lotus Flower Bomb."
