There Is a God, & He Brought The Roots & Big K.R.I.T. Together for “Make My” (Listen)

I didn't realize that The Roots and Big K.R.I.T. were on my "Top 10 Collabs I'd Like to Hear Before I Die", but as soon as I saw the legendary Philly crew and the Meridian, Miss. representer had linked up I belatedly had to throw them on the list, and then cross them off. Essentially the exact opposite of "I Don't Play With Guns" in every respect, "Make My" is nothing but pure dopeness.

It seems like such an obvious statement, but you just get a level of musicality and artistry from The Roots that, with very rare exception, you don't get from anyone else. And of course Black Thought and K.R.I.T. deliver on the mic - this shit just made my day. Thank you sweet baby hip-hop Jesus.

The Roots new album "undun", which they've called their first truly conceptual album, drops December 6.
