Skillz Puts a “Rap Up” on 2010 (Listen & Download)

In a tradition as dependable as a champagne hangover, Skillz has released the latest installment of his yearly rap up series, this time firing with deadly accuracy on the best and worst of 2010. It has to be said that Skillz doesn't hit quite as hard as he has in previous years, but it just wouldn't be a new year without the man's punchlines: "Waka Flocka went hard and got shot in the paint / Kelis went a little harder and took Nas to the bank." It never gets old.

By the way, I have to believe that at this point Skillz feels trapped by this series. He's been trying to launch a solo career for years, but every project he releases comes attached with "you know, he's the dude who does the yearly rap up" thing. And the pressure for him to keep going is huge, but I'm willing to bet come November he's secretly like, "fuck me, not another one of these things." I give him until 2013 before he retires.
