RZA & Outlines Have “Visions” (Listen & Download)

Considering he's undoubtedly one of the greatest producers of all time (Kanye voice) it's always good to hear some new RZA, even if it's only ten seconds on "So Appalled" or a new record with a group no one's ever heard of. Last night the RZAster dropped off a new record called "Visions" with Outlines, a group I think it's safe to say isn't exactly well known around RefinedHype nation. (For the record, they're three dudes from France.)

And now a typically "That doesn't really make sense but I get what he's going for" explanation from the Genius.:

"The song is about world peace thru us taking individual responsibility for our actions and us helping save to others once we have saved ourselves. Being out here in China and seeing the growth of our culture in their world and seeing how their culture influenced my world led me to choose this song. We all so much on the same path as individuals only separated by language and custom and location. And the negative forces that strive to keep us apart by fabricating false images of each other. Well the RZA and Outlines have a vision for a better world."

Personally I feel like RZA's in the Washington Wizards portion of his career. He's still one of the best, but he's not the force he used to be. Even putting aside the Wu-Tang material, the man used to make groundbreaking music like this. In comparison, "Visions" is just a nice, little song.
