Reflection Eternal Rhyme the “Ballad of Black Gold” (Listen & Video)

With oil gushing onto Louisiana's shores right now (fuck you very much British Petroleum x Haliburton), it seemed like a perfect time for Reflection Eternal - a.k.a. Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek - to let loose of their new single "Ballad of Black Gold". Featuring a snare heavy, militaristic beat layered with cherubic notes from Tek and Kweli back on his revolutionary ish, "Ballad of Black Gold" is the a reminder that hip-hop can help change the world. I'll admit that I was pessimistic about the dynamic duo's much anticipated comeback album "Revolutions Per Minute", but I've been getting more and more excited over the last couple weeks. "Revolutions" drops May 18. Mark your calendars.
