Oddisee Finds a New “Way In, Way Out” (Listen & Download)

Big K.R.I.T., Pharoahe Monch, Omarion, there are only a small handful of artists that I make sure to listen to everything they put out. Over the last few weeks DMV producer/emcee Oddisee has absolutely joined those ranks. Now that the man's got a brand new album out, "People Hear What They See", he's celebrating my letting go of a brand new leak, "Way In, Way Out". As always, the man manges to cook some up instrumental magic that's simultaneously soulful and banging, while lyrically attacking the massive divide that separates the 99% from the 1%. Real hip-hop heads will catch the Jay-Z reference in the beginning on the second verse, and hip-hop heads of any stripe will dig this. Sometimes it really is that simple.
