Nikki Lynette Puts the Chi on Her Back on “Beneath My City” (Listen & Download)

Turns out Yeezy and Jeezy aren't the only ones who go hard for their cities. Chicago newcomer Nikki Lynette continues to show the world her organic blend of rock and hip-hop on her new track "Beneath My City", a track that finds the singer/songwriter/emcee/producer/songwriter/Olympic moguls skier (one of those isn't true) laying down a looping guitar line as a foundation and then adding in a piano line, fresh verses and one hell of a hook. "Beneath My City", and by extension Nikki, may not be your norm, but that's why she's found a home here. RefinedHype is no stranger to crazies.

For more from Nikki keep it locked for the release of her "Roses N' Guns" mixtape on May 18. No word yet on an Axl Rose feature, although I'm sure if he is on there the mixtape will take another decade to come out, and then be disappointing. (Do I need to explain the "Chinese Democracy" reference? You see....nevermind. Just listen to the track.)
