In Today’s Edition Of Shocking, But Not So Shocking News: Lupe Pulls The Plug On “Food & Liquor II”

So, that much-anticipated "Food & Liquor 2" album? Well, it ain't happening. Earlier today, to the confusion and disappointment of fans, Lupe Fiasco revealed that his album "Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 2" has been canned.

The announcement (made via Twitter) was eventually deleted, but we're talking about the internet here so nothing ever truly disappears. And Complex was one of a handful of sites to capture Lupe's Tweets before they went adios and the rapper's account was "closed."

While "Food & Liquor 2" has been canceled, according to Lupe's Tweets it does appear that we'll be getting some kind of project in its place before the year is up. But something tells me fans still aren't going to be too pleased with this move. If anything, I guess we can always blame Chief Keef.
